Residents of Croydon are being invited for a special day of therapeutic activities aimed at enhancing wellness and reconnecting people with the natural world.
Organised by Forest Therapy Victoria, participants will be guided in a gentle walk and other activities through the Narr-Maen Reserve for a morning of healing and reconnection with the natural world.
An emerging field in the health and wellbeing industry, forest therapy is founded on the basic principle that health and wellbeing are intrinsically linked to the amount of time people spend in nature. The process boasts recognised benefits, including an improved immune system, better concentration and enhanced sleep patterns. Health and wellbeing programmes such as this can often benefit from brochure printing to advertise the key benefits of the services on offer.
On the day, participants will be led by trauma counsellor and director of MGA Counselling Services’ Matt Glover, the first qualified Australian counsellor to be accredited by the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance. Throughout the morning’s activities, he will encourage participants to experience the wonders of the Australian bush in a whole new way.
The Forest Therapy Victoria’s experience is scheduled to run on Thursday, 23rd December at the Narr-Maen Wetlands in Croydon Hills. Participants will need to ensure they have covered shoes, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a water bottle and snacks, along with a pen and notebook. Bookings and more information are available via the Forest Therapy Victoria website.
