Festive singalong to be hosted in Croydon

Croydon residents can soon enjoy a free community singalong at Town Park in December.

Maroondah Carols has been a much-loved event for over 25 years, as young and old, businesses and community groups come together to celebrate the season.

The concert starts at 7.30 pm, but prior to that, attendees can enjoy entertainment and food from pop-up stalls. There will also be an activity zone for children with games and rides. The youngsters will be delighted by the arrival of Santa, as well as the characters Frosty and Elf. A quiet space will be provided for those who wish to take a break from the festive fun.

The performance will be led by MC Lucy Holmes and the Maroondah Carols Band, ably assisted by performers that include Julian Dunham, Lauren Neivandt, Jonathan Guthrie-Jones and Samantha Du Rennes, also known as U’Ren.

Holmes is an in-demand, well-known Australian performer and media personality and is also the talent behind 100% Kylie, an acclaimed tribute act that has toured internationally.

Fireworks are scheduled for 9.30 pm to bring a colourful end to proceedings.

Community events like this one are often advertised locally by using Print shops to produce Banners and Posters.

Maroondah Carols is taking place on Saturday, 6 December, from 6 pm until 10 pm. The venue is Town Park, which can be found at 20 Civic Square in Croydon. The event is free to attend.
