A popular venue in Croydon will be welcoming a two-piece act playing a wide range of music styles to entertain patrons.
The Wyreena Community Arts Centre’s Conservatory Café will be hosting a live musical performance from Bohemian Nights this August. As part of the Croydon venue’s continuing Friday night programme featuring the most talented artists from around Victoria, the two-man group featuring Ernie Gruner and Phil Carroll will be playing a wide range of different instruments.
Gruner plays the mandolin, violin and sings, while Carroll also sings and plays the accordion and end-blown flute, also known as a ney. Together, they play an extensive variety of music styles, including French, Russian, Turkish, Klezmer, Italian, tango and jazz, with renditions that range from wild to soulful.
Local bands promoting attendance at their gigs sometimes employ flyer printing services to create colourful leaflets showing the time and place of their performances to inform the public. The Conservatory Café is well-known for its exceptional acoustics, and it has a fully licensed bar and maximum seating capacity of 50 people. As a result, booking is essential.
Bohemian Nights will take place on Friday, August 26 at the Wyreena Community Arts Centre, based on 13-23 Hull Road in Croydon. The two-piece band will play from 7.30 pm until 9.30 pm. Tickets are £35 per person and include dinner and entertainment.
