On October 13, the PMA in Melbourne held an open house entitled 90 Seconds to Change Your Business. Over 100 industry professionals attended to watch a demonstration of simultaneous slate change on the Speedmaster XL 105-6 LX Press. Simultaneous plate change saves time and therefore money; it can make more money for the company by allowing them to take on more jobs. The process was demonstrated by Lindsay Barnes, general manager for product management and guest speaker Douglas Mooney, Heidelberg's Asia-Pacific region head of Sheetfed printing talked about worldwide use of the technology. Alistair Hadley, the General Managers of Sales and Marketing for Heidelberg Australia/New Zealand stated that it was:
“gratifying to see so many Print industry business leaders taking the time to look at technology developments.”
Technology is constantly changing and it is up to business leaders to make sure they are up to date on the latest equipment. If they are not, they will lose business to their competitors.
