Melbourne suburbs grow at rapid rate
Figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) show that there has been fast urban growth around Melbourne.
The statistics gathered by ABS highlighted the expansion of Cranbourne East. This expanding suburb is situated in the growth corridor to the south of the central business district. However, northern suburbs like Broadmeadows are likely to experience patterns of growth similar to those of their southern counterparts because of the dynamism of the whole region. This could increase the need for items from local brochure printing firms.
Dr. Bob Birrell, who works for Monash University, told Domain Group:
Dr Andrew Wilson, the chief economist at the Domain Group, has underlined one of the factors attracting people to purchase residences in the suburbia of Melbourne. He thinks affordability is playing a major role in stimulating interest. Nonetheless, figures show a price increase of almost 5% in Cranbourne during last year.
Terry Rawnsley, an economist who works for SGS Economics and Planning, has said that the underlying strength of the economy of Melbourne has been highly positive for a period of 10 years. However, Rawnsley is not complacent about the future of the region, and believes that the centre of Melbourne needs to work on its accessibility in the coming years.

“Melbourne is still booming, despite the decline in the birth rate and a decline in national net overseas migration.”
