Latest printing and photography technology on show in Melbourne
Keen digital photographers and technology fans in Melbourne are gearing up for the Digital Show, which is coming to the area later this month.
The event, which is organised by the Imaging and Digital Entertainment Association, is set up to promote technology and digital products in Australia while supporting companies working in the sector. It will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and will feature some of the biggest names in the industry.
Exhibitors range from camera manufacturers to print companies, all showcasing the latest in technology for photography, video and digital imagery. Many exhibitors will be selling new products during the weekend and giving show-only discounts.
Each day of the show features an eclectic line up of speakers, including Kristian Dowling, who has spent several years photographing Hollywood celebrities. Wedding photographer Ryan Schembri and travel specialist Darran Leal will also be appearing.
Other talks will discuss how to perfect certain techniques in both photography and printing. Practical issues, such as how to safely store digital images, will also be on the agenda. Visitors from Broadmeadows should think about attending on more than one day to make the most of the expert advice on offer. Printing companies may also be present to ensure they’re on top of the latest developments in the industry.
The event runs from September 13 to 15 and is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day. Visitors who pre-register through The Digital Show website will receive a free entry pass. Door tickets, however, will cost $20.
