Image advice on offer for Hume businesswomen

Female entrepreneurs from Broadmeadows are being invited to a special event designed especially for them in August.

The Women in Front business lunch, being hosted by Hume City Council this year, is part of the Victorian Small Business Festival and is the only event of its kind in the region.

This year, the guest speaker will be image expert Colette Werden, who will be discussing how image can affect branding and success in the commercial sphere.

During her presentation, Collette will cover the idea of dressing for success and look at what assumptions and decisions people make about someone in the first few seconds of meeting them. She will also offer advice on how to dress with confidence and create a personal brand with a number of essential wardrobe pieces.

Fiona Triaca, from seminar-organising company Naked Ambition, will be acting as Master of Ceremonies, as well as giving her own advice on branding.

The event will also include plenty of networking opportunities and the chance to meet with other businesswomen from Hume City and around Victoria, so anyone attending should think about getting fresh business card printing done beforehand.

The lunch takes place at Meadowbank Receptions in Campbellfield, just a short drive from Broadmeadows, on Friday, August 7th from midday to 2.30pm. Tickets are available now and can be booked via the Hume City Council website.
