Digital Economy, Medical Research and Innovation Minister Jaala Pulford recently launched the programme, called Technology Adoption and Innovation. She said the scheme will give Victorian businesses an opportunity to access grant funds of as much as $50,000 to put towards innovative tech initiatives, and added:
“This programme will be a catalyst for more Victorian businesses to embark on their own innovative projects, whether they’re implementing technology or developing a new commercial product.”
Printing services have often been engaged to help spread the word throughout the business community about initiatives such as this, which can have a positive effect on economic growth and business opportunities for individual operators.
There are two types of funding streams on offer, with the first giving medium and small-sized enterprises an opportunity to partner with a provider of specialised technology to boost their competitiveness and productivity. The partnerships could involve anything from the introduction of e-commerce systems or robotics to new technology related to cyber security.
Companies that deal in the development of technology and are involved in creating new services and products are the target of the second avenue of funding. The development of products could include everything from software for retail and technology and fintech applications to nanotechnology. Applications close on April 19.
