Free meeting space for youngsters in Broadmeadows

Children and young adults aged twelve to eighteen can take advantage of a meeting place that is set up especially for them in Broadmeadows.

The Hume City Council Youth Engagement and Pathways Unit (YEP) is a free service that is set up for young people that study, work in or have another connection to Hume. The service includes the Wellbeing and Leadership Team, Mental Health, and the Partnerships, Engagement and Pathway Teams. Cherry Grimwade leads and coordinates the Youth Engagement and Pathway Unit, with a wealth of experience in supporting children and young people.

At the Meeting Point at Broadmeadows, young people can find video games, board and card games, table tennis, arts and crafts and a space to relax with friends, and indeed make new ones. The space is welcoming and designed to be multi-purpose and flexible, depending on need.

As part of the arts and craft offering, promotional Pens might be the kind of material that can be found in an activity space for young people.

The Meeting Point Broadmeadows is available for those aged twelve to eighteen on Tuesday 11th March, from 2:45 until 4:45pm. The venue is Broadmeadows Youth Central, 33-37 Pearcedale Parade, Broadmeadows, 3047. The event is free and participants do not need to book. This is one in a series of events.
