Feedback invited on future health plans in Hume
Locals are being urged to comment on a draft plan that focuses on the wellbeing and health of people living in Broadmeadows and across the City of Hume.
Outlined in the plan is the way the council proposes to work with the community from now until 2025 to improve and protect the wellbeing and health of all who work, play and live in the city.
Mayor Carly Moore said the start of a new year is the ideal time to consider ways to achieve positive health results in the coming years. She added:
Moore said that the role of the community, family and environments was an important one and is recognised in the wellbeing and health draft plan.
Hard copies of the survey and plan are readily available for interested residents at senior citizen, customer service and learning centres across Hume. Printing services are often enlisted to provide printed materials like this.
Eight areas considered a priority for health improvement and change have been identified in the draft plan, which covers everything from wellbeing and mental health, respectful and healthy relationships and climate change to healthy eating, young people and children.
Community groups, service providers and resident can provide feedback on the council's draft Plan until 29 January.
