Light metal products manufacturer Integra Systems was also awarded top spot for Leader in Workforce Skills Development.
At an awards ceremony held in Melbourne recently, Industry Recovery and Support Minister Ben Carroll congratulated all finalists and winners, saying the government was well aware of the importance of backing the state's manufacturers and helping them expand, which will in turn give a boost to Victoria's economy. He added:
“These awards recognise the contribution of our leading manufacturers that are developing new technologies and processes that help to create jobs throughout Victoria.”
This year's awards theme was Made in Victoria, which, according to the minister, highlighted the range of equipment, machinery and products produced across Victoria. It also recognised businesses and people driving the growth and success of the sector.
Three new awards were introduced in 2022 to boost the award categories to 14. Other winners included Planet Innovation, Geelong-based Care Essentials and Notting Hill's Amaero Additive Manufacturing, which was the winner of the small business category.
Major award wins such as these have often been included on company Business Cards as a representation of innovation and success.
The local economy benefits by an estimated $30 billion annually from the state's manufacturing industry, and it also supports some 260,000 jobs. Victoria is also responsible for about 27 per cent of Australia's manufacturing output.
