A Maroochydore venue is set to welcome an Australian band that have earned renown in the surf rock scene and across the country.
To show off the sounds from their latest album Brain Candy, garage-surf rock band Hockey Dad will be appearing at the Eleven dive bar in Maroochydore. The rock duo may only have been around for five years, but have achieved much in their short but successful career.
With two studio albums to their credit and an extended play recording, the band from Windang entered the ARIA charts in 2018 with their acclaimed release Blend Inn. Tracks from the studio album enjoyed four spots in the Triple J Hottest 100 and cracked the ARIA charts’ top 10 albums. They also sold out two national tours and managed to accumulate 24 million streams on the online music platform Spotify.
Their latest release Brain Candy features hits like “I Missed Out”, “Germaphobe”, “In This State” and “Itch”. Bands and solo artists often rely on professional Graphic Design Services to set artwork, typography and photographic imagery for their album covers.
Hockey Dad will play the Eleven dive bar located at 19 Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore on Saturday, May 7. The show is set to start at 7 pm with The Grogans as support. Tickets for the gig are priced at $55.85 per person.
