Christmas networking event scheduled for Maroochydore area
Business and Christmas are soon set to combine into one, as the Sunshine Coast's business community is preparing for the upcoming “Sunshine Coast Celebrates” event.
The event, which takes place in the Maroochydore region, will be organised by a combination of the region's Chambers of Commerce, industry networks and business groups. It plans to be more than just a festive celebration, having been designed to strengthen local connections and highlight community spirit.
Attendees of the event are expected to be welcomed with a drink on arrival before being provided with "Station Money”. This will be used as a token that can be spent at the venue's food trucks. This will then go on to support both local food vendors while simultaneously keeping the mood festive.
In the spirit of Christmas, a "Giving Tree" will also allow guests to contribute to a list of local charities that have been chosen by participating Chambers.
The celebration will take place at The Station venue in nearby Birtinya on Thursday, 11 December. It will be a key opportunity for smaller businesses and larger enterprises alike to mingle, trade business cards, look back on the year and look forward to heading into 2026.
Tickets are priced from $40. While still a networking event, it will be less formal as it will blend business with a festive holiday atmosphere.
