Art experience to arrive in Maroochydore

Maroochydore is set to hold an art exhibition with a unique format that celebrates the work of young creatives.

Residents of Maroochydore keen to support local talent won’t want to miss this upcoming installation, which will be running this summer. Dubbed the “Wild HeART Student Art Prize Finalists’ Exhibition Trail”, the event lets guests encounter nature via the view of young artists in the area. Featuring vivid artworks crafted by local children and teenagers, the event will run until the end of summer.

Local artists often count on experienced Print shops with technical teams that can create high-resolution copies of their artworks using the latest digital printing technology.

Those visiting the artistic event can wander gravel trails, sealed paths and lawns to discover 22 different pieces of art produced by nature lovers aged between 5 and 18. The exterior gallery includes imagery of a wide range of Australian wildlife, from bandicoots and butterflies to birds and whale sharks.

Young artist categories include eight years and below, 13 years and below and 18 years and below. Visitors will also get a chance to vote and support the artwork they like the best in the People’s Choice award.

The Finalists’ Exhibition Trail will now be open at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden until Friday, February 6. The trail is accessible in daylight hours, and admission is free for all.
