Maroochydore’s local council, the Sunshine Coast Council, is celebrating the strawberry season with the Chevallum Strawbfest next month.
Strawbfest is known for being a popular event on the Sunshine Coast, and it offers attendees a combination of food, fun, music and plenty of strawberries. Not only will the event include food from a variety of cultures, but entertainment for the entire family too. This includes amusement rides, live musical performances over three stages, a sideshow alley, a bar selling strawberry daiquiris, a large raffle offering premium prizes and a fireworks display.
The festival is the Chevallum School Community’s main event to raise funds. It is held annually with the support of volunteers. Fundraising events like this can benefit from advertising using Print shops. Posters, Flyers and Banners are all effective ways to target a wide audience at low cost.
Strawbfest is not only a platform for displaying the variety of talents within the Chevallum community, but it also represents the event's unique location, being held within strawberry fields. Funds from the event are used to pay for air conditioning, technical items, equipment for art, musical instruments and play equipment for the school.
The Chevallum School Community’s Strawbfest will be held on Friday, 10th September from 5pm until late at the Chevallum State School located on Chevallum Road. Entry to the event is free.
