Ska punk to march to Maroochydore
A live music venue based in Maroochydore will soon present a Melbourne band playing ska punk for a one-night show.
Music fans in Maroochydore will be able to see The Bennies live in concert in August. Melbourne’s much-loved ska punk act is coming to the city to play a setlist featuring their latest material at Solbar. This year, they released a new LP called “You Can’t Put Out This Fire” through Vinnie’s Records, and the show is part of an Australian tour for promotional purposes.
Bands and their record labels sometimes employ imaginative graphic design services to set print-ready artwork for album sleeves and tour posters that reflect their image.
Regarded as “party legends” in Melbourne and the Gold Coast, The Bennies have played psychedelic reggae and punk rock together since 2009, enjoying sell-out headline shows and becoming fast favourites at festivals. They’ve earned a reputation for supplying audiences with entertaining live shows and have released two extended play recordings and four full-length studio albums to date.
The band will be in good company on the tour, with folk-punk solo artist Slim Krusty warming up the crowds with a live set before the band appear on stage.
The Bennies and their support act will now be at Solbar on Sunday, Aug 10. The gig will kick off at 6.30 pm and the venue is situated on Ocean Street in Maroochydore.
