The Maroochy River Golf Club is scheduled to open to players on May 30th and has a course designed by former professional golfer Graham Marsh.
The 18-hole site has a number of different tee points and 79 bunkers to negotiate.
There is also a day and night driving range and a technology centre with fitting facilities.
Geoff Davies, the president of the club, said the organisation was sad to leave its old home, but looked forward to the new course. He explained:
“Our members are excited about the prospect of getting onto their new course and being a part of its growth in the years ahead. Our new club will rank as one of the best on the Coast and will boast 18 new holes with magnificent views from Buderim to Mount Coolum.”
The club could publicise its new facilities using flyer printing or poster printing, perhaps even promoting a special offer for new members.
The site of the former course at Horton Park has been purchased by the council, and is set to be developed, by SunCentral Maroochydore, into an entertainment and retail centre designed to breathe new life into the area. It will include residential apartments, shops and a hotel, and is set to create thousands of jobs.
