Pigeon Fool is a piece of interactive theatre that questions what it means to be human, in a world that is increasingly subject to the reliance on AI.
Counterpilot is the brains behind Pigeon Fool. The organisation consists of a group of Brisbane-based interdisciplinary artists. The members use a live audience to create stories that harness technology and present new perspectives on the everyday. A source states that Counterpilot is:
“An enigmatic live art conspiracy which all the cool kids will want to join…no-one else is making work quite like this.”
Pigeon Fool was developed with the help of AI experts, blending interactive theatre with virtual beings and algorithms in order to test the audience in a popular gameshow format. The premise is to judge whether it is indeed possible to always distinguish between robots and humans in scenarios that may be familiar within everyday life.
Shows often employ local printing services in order upcoming events within the community.
Pigeon Fool will take place from Friday, 2 May until Sunday, 11 May, with 45-minute performances at 4pm and again at 6pm. The location is the Big Top Shopping Centre in Maroochydore. Tickets cost $30.
