Maroochydore to immerse itself in techno hardcore

Sydney heavyweights Northlane, fronted by lead vocalist Marcus Bridge, will be delighting metalcore fans at the Eleven Dive bar in Maroochydore next weekend.

Northlane’s latest self-released studio album, Obsidian, is due to be released next Friday, April 22. The latest single release, Carbonized, with its message to call out poor behaviour, is sure to enthuse fans. Following on from a previous single release, Echo Chamber, which is about detaching from the online world, it seems that Northlane members are looking to convey social awareness in their music.

Lead vocalist Bridge is supported by Jon Delley (lead guitar, bass), Josh Smith (rhythm guitar) and Nic Pettersen (drums and percussion). Delley and Smith are founding members of the group, which was formed in 2009.

Northlane does not have a record label; the members release and produce their own material and are entirely self-promoting. They have also launched a membership club, WORLDEATER Patreon – by selecting a membership level, fans are entitled to discounts, news and live streaming. Self-promoting bands will often make use of Print opportunities as they will need potentially need help with Logo Design and access to banner and poster printing.

Northlane will appear at the Eleven Dive bar at 19 Duporth Avenue on Sunday, April 24. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $44.65, with an 18+ admission policy.
