Fishing and family fun comes to Maroochydore

Families in the Maroochydore area who like to bond over activities could do worse than sign up for the 2 Bent Rods fishing experience in December.

2 Bent Rods was set up by the husband and wife team of Jeremy and Samantha Beckman, when they realised that lots of children and adults had never experienced shore fishing. So, the couple set up their business in 2004 with the aim of showing children and parents how to safely fish, including gathering bait, tying a fishing knot and casting out and landing a fish.

Winning awards, such as the What’s On Kids Awards Winner of Best Kids Party Provider and the Outdoor Queensland Awards Winner in 2021 means that 2 Bent Rods is a natural choice for parents wanting to have a great shared experience over a physical outdoor activity.

Glowing testimonials include:

“It was Jeremy and Sam’s passion for the outdoors and fishing which was what I enjoyed most. It has imparted in my son an enduring love of wanting to catch the “big one” and at least now we have skills to do so.”

Parents of young children might be drawn to outdoor activities by the prodigious use of poster printing and display to attract enthusiasts to the event.

The Kids and Families fishing lesson takes place on Saturday December 17th, from 7.30am until 10.30am. The venue is Chambers Island, Bradman Avenue, Maroochydore, QLD 4558. Tickets cost from $60, and all bait and fishing equipment is provided.
