Egg-cellent April ahead near Maroochydore

Maroochydore residents and visitors will have the opportunity to join in the hunt for eggs left by the Easter Bunny, or just join in the general gaiety and festivities at the traditional Easter Fair at the arts centre of nearby Buderim.

The fair has been a popular event at this time of the year for 50 years and is still going strong, with the local Lions Club and Library joining with the Craft Cottage to ensure its success.

The Craft Cottage will be packed with room after room of stalls selling handmade wares from some of the most talented and best known of the local artisans and craftspeople. Items for sale will include jewellery, sculptures, and needlework, to name just a few activities. The café in the cottage courtyard will provide a scenic stop for food and drink, and Ragtag will be providing entertainment.

Second-hand Books will be available for purchase at bargain prices from the Buderim Library, while marquees will be present in the surrounding gardens with more goods for purchase. There are likely to be Business Cards available from some of the vendors, and local printing services may be used for labels or price tags.

The Easter Fair will be open to visitors of all ages from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Easter Saturday, which is April 15, at the War Memorial Hall on the corner of Main and Church Streets, as well as at the neighbouring Buderim Craft Cottage.
