Residents of Maroochydore and surrounding areas with a musical interest may well wish to go along to The Solbar to experience the alternative, post-grunge sound of Total Radio Silence (TRS).
TRS was formed in 2019, and has released three studio albums to date, the latest being The Stories We Tell Ourselves. Previous albums include the first studio album, Alpha Beta Omega, followed by Total Radio Silence, released in 2021.
The four-piece band members include Will Godfrey (singer and guitarist), Matt Davis (guitarist), Jack Wood (bass guitar) and Matt Olm (drums). The sound is melodic, with a post-grunge flavour and an alternative, contemporary rock energy, combining with notable guitar riffs and a leading rhythm section. The band has been compared to the Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Soundgarden. Godfrey hails from Cambridge, UK, whilst all the other members are Queensland-born and bred.
The evening at The Solbar will encompass a total performance of the latest album, including the singles Come On, Come On, Grousehouse and Whirlwind, all of which have featured significant radio air-play locally.

Total Radio Silence is appearing at The Solbar, Maroochydore, QLD, on Saturday 18th January at 7pm. Tickets cost $12.75. The band will be supported by local bands Lazy Guns and Phosphenes.
