Southport to host popular vegan event
A popular outdoor area in Southport is set to host a market dedicated to vegan produce.
Southport’s Broadwater Parklands has been selected as the site for an upcoming event entitled the Queensland Vegan Market. Taking place throughout the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the vegan markets specialise in providing a wide range of cruelty-free food and gifts and are designed for all members of the public to attend.
Whether people are interested in reducing their consumption of animals or simply want to learn about veganism, the market in Southport is an ideal option. An extensive selection of hand-picked vendors will be present on the day to ensure there are no shortages of vegan food, drinks, and gifts to try and buy.
Local firms selling goods and produce at markets often stock their stalls with dedicated business cards they can hand out to customers and contacts to grow their enterprise.
As the practice of avoiding the use of animal products, the term Veganism was first coined back in 1944. However, the ideal of flesh-avoidance dates to ancient eastern Mediterranean and Indian and societies.
The Queensland Vegan Market will take place at Broadwater Parklands on Marine Parade in Southport on Sunday, November 27. The market will open at 9 am and close at 3 pm. Free entry is offered to all, and the market is both picnic-friendly and dog-friendly.
