North Lakes is set to welcome a fun run for families at a man-made scenic wetland in the suburb known for its thriving ecosystem.

Residents looking for a way to keep their family physically fit while having fun can get involved in this upcoming springtime event. Called “North Lakes Colour Frenzy”, the travelling experience is part of an ongoing series of obstacle-filled runs held all over Australia.

From fun runs to marathons, organisers of athletic events often rely on high-quality banner printing services for signage that shows where water stations and start and finish lines can be found.

Created with accessibility in mind, Colour Frenzy lets participants pick their own way to complete the course, running, skipping, hopping, jogging, jumping or just walking. There are also two distances to select from, one kilometre and five kilometres, to suit personal stamina levels.

Non-competitive and untimed, the race includes unique features like bubble zones, colour stations and foam machines. Runners are sprayed in brightly coloured powder that is entirely safe and non-toxic, and with a flat course, the event is specifically planned so that people of all ages can get involved.

North Lakes Colour Frenzy is happening at Lake Eden on Sunday, September 20. The wetland is based at 50 Lakefield Drive in North Lakes. Other participating cities include Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Wollongong, to name but a few.
