North Lakes community to celebrate mothers

A community centre serving North Lakes is hosting special activities as part of a week-long celebration of mothers in the suburb.

Mums in North Lakes can attend a special event taking place in the city hosted by the Australian Breastfeeding Association. Entitled the National Mothering Week Celebrations and Morning Tea, the event is designed to offer a fun experience where parents in the suburb can connect with their peers. The gathering is included in a series of festivities taking place before and after Mother’s Day.

Organisers of events related to important dates like Mother’s Day sometimes dress venues with special signage and decorations designed by professional banner printing services.

Those coming to the get together for mums will find a selection of tea and coffee provided in the kitchenette. Those attending can also bring a plate of food to share with others at the event if they wish.

The National Mothering Week Celebrations and Morning Tea will be held in Meeting Room 1 of the North Lakes Community Centre on Thursday, May 14. The room can be found on the floor over the library, and the centre is sited at 10 The Corso in North Lakes. The event starts at 10 am and runs until 2 pm.

Pram-friendly parking is available on nearby streets and beneath the centre, accessible via Endeavour Boulevard.
