A meditative session is being held at a community hub based in North Lakes this winter that includes music, a meal and more.
Members of the North Lakes community seeking relaxation can attend an upcoming event. Entitled the “Mantra Meditation Evening”, the wintertime session is run by the non-profit Australian School of Meditation & Yoga (ASMY) and aims to uplift attendees while offering them a chance to connect and reflect with their peers.
Not-for-profit organisations hosting community focused events sometimes rely on specialist Graphic Design Services to create materials that spread word of their events around local areas.
Those participating in the session can engage in mindfulness practices and breathwork to get relaxed before the mantra meditation begins. During the meditative exercise, there will be live kirtan music. Afterwards, attendees can enjoy a period of connection and reflection followed by a meal with plant-based ingredients that is suitable for both vegan and vegetarian diets.
No previous experience of meditation is necessary to attend the inclusive evening which provides a safe space with a supportive atmosphere to recharge, relax and reconnect.
The Mantra Meditation Evening will now run at the North Lakes Community Centre on Friday, July 31. The session has a start time of 6 pm and finishes at 8.30 pm and the centre is situated at 10 The Corso in North Lakes.
