Sessions designed to enhance the abilities of professional and amateur contestants taking part in triathlons will be held in North Lakes this July.
North Lakes Aquatic Centre is hosting swimming training sessions for triathletes looking to improve their performance prior to race days. Suitable for those swimming in open water and pool environments alike, a range of different sessions are offered on specific days.
At the centre’s 25-metre pool, triathletes can work on stroke recovery and correction on Mondays, distance and stroke correction on Wednesdays, and improve their speed work on Fridays. Training companies and sporting clubs running courses can sometimes use brochure printing services to create detailed informational Booklets that outline what is included in classes.
Many people entering triathlons find the swimming stage presents the greatest challenge. The sessions run by the Redcliffe Triathlon Club were created to increase confidence and capabilities of swimmers and improve their race times.
Formed in 1990 on the Redcliffe Peninsula by Shirley and Alan Voss, the Redcliffe Triathlon Club is open to everyone, from seasoned triathletes to complete novices.
The triathlon swimming training sessions will take place at North Lakes Aquatic Centre on Little Burke Street in North Lakes throughout July. Sessions will be held between 5.30 am and 7 pm on selected days, and admission is charged at $5 per person.
