North Lakes in land sales explosion

According to a recent article by Amy Hutchinson in the Courier Mail, sales of vacant land in North Lakes and other suburbs in Moreton Bay are set to be part of an expansion in land sales.

The article quotes a report sponsored by Colliers International which found that sales in the Moreton Bay area had rocketed in the first half of 2012. Other suburbs experiencing growth were Griffin and Mango Hill. There was also substantial growth in the Ipswich and Gold Coast regions.

Warwick Temby, the executive director of the Housing Industry Association, told the Courier Mail that there were predictions in the industry that housing construction could increase by as much as 10% in 2013. Temby added that, in spite of the recent growth, land sales and home construction were not completely back in full swing yet.

Griffin, Mango Hill, and North Lakes will also profit from the new Moreton Bay rail link, according to Councillor Julie Greer of Moreton Bay Regional Council, who said:
"Moreton Bay Regional Council's investment in the Moreton Bay Rail Link will add new connections to the local road network with road bridges over the rail corridor including Kinsellas Road East at Mango Hill."

Land sales in North Lakes suggest that Print companies in the region should soon be engaged in banner printing promoting real estate deals and home building companies. The joint managing director of Ausbuild, Matthew Bell, is quoted as saying that there will still be stocks of land available in Mango Hill long after North Lakes has been fully developed.
