North Lakes brewery presents Australian blues

An acclaimed blues musician from Melbourne will perform at a brewery and bar based in North Lakes this year.

North Lakes residents with a passion for homegrown talent and bespoke beer can attend an upcoming concert coming to the suburb this winter. The city’s Thirsty Chiefs microbrewery and bar is welcoming one of Australia’s most famous blues acts, Ash Grunwald, to its stage in August for an evening of live music and quality beers.

The brewery and bar’s Logo Design featuring two full beer Mugs is a familiar sight in North Lakes. Now, fans of the venue can enjoy an evening of Grunwald’s music alongside regular features like free darts and pools, membership keg fills and high-quality food trucks.

Often described as the nation’s foremost bluesman, Grunwald is a storyteller, songwriter and journeyman. His eclectic mix of music combines bass ‘n’ blues, beats, roots, soul and dance. His extensive career has seen him support music legends like James Brown, Jack Johnson, Keith Urban and The Black Keys among many others, and play festivals all over the world. He also has six Top 50 albums under his belt and numerous ARIA awards.

Ash Grunwald will now play a live show at the Thirsty Chiefs Brewing Company on Saturday, Aug 16. The show will start at 7 pm and the brewery and bar is based at 4/4 Wills Street in North Lakes.
