Micro music festival to come to North Lakes

The North Lakes Community Centre, Library and YMCA’s The Space will transform into a musical hotspot for one day only, as North Lakes celebrates Make Music Month this June.

With a number of performances and interactive musical activities scheduled throughout the day, this family-friendly event is touted as having something to offer guests of all ages.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the local culture of the Gubbi Gubbi people through music, dance and storytelling and catch the Magic of Musicals with Redcliffe Musical Theatre’s local stars. They will also get to experience the vibrant sounds of Punjabi music with Folk Blasters, enjoy a line-up of alternative, indie and youth music at The Space, join the sing-along with Andy Peacock and Hollow Wood or rock out to the music of Sting, covered by the Blue Turtles.

The micro-festival is part of the wider City of Moreton Bay's celebration of Make Music Month, encouraging the community to make and experience music throughout public spaces. Free performances, workshops and jam sessions such as the ones above will take place across North Lakes and all 16 of Moreton Bay’s galleries, museums and libraries during the month of June.

Poster printing services can be an important tool in successfully delivering local events, providing event programs and Flyers to be handed out to local community members, as well as promotional and informative signage displayed throughout the public spaces of the community.

The North Lakes Make Music Month micro-festival will take place from 9 am to 8 pm on Saturday, June 21.
