The Ikea outlet will need 250 new employees on its Books so it can open up in North Lakes before the start of 2017. Stefano Bizzarri, the store manager, has made clear that a range of roles will have to be filled. Candidates can use Business Cards to help them appear professional.
Bizzarri would like to attract local labour if possible and he told the Courier Mail:
“There has been a lot of interest (in jobs) from local people; I think that is a win-win. Of course it needs to be right person as well, but having people from the local area means they can tell us what works and how people live in this area.”
The store manager has the intention of hosting information sessions. These will take place at a food court in the vicinity of the Ikea site. The store will be the second Ikea within the territory of Queensland.
Solar panels will be installed to help the store hit an ecological target. The 1,600 panels are intended to help make the North Lakes outlet independent in terms of energy supply by 2020.
Allan Sutherland, a local mayor, has suggested shoppers will come to the store from across the Brisbane region. Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Books
