Eighties party coming up in North Lakes

An eighties party night will be held in North Lakes this December.

The ‘We are 80’s Party’ will be an evening of lively music together with a barbeque dinner and plenty of cold beer. Guests will be able to dance the night away to tunes played by DJ Les-Boss. Les-Boss is the musical authority on retro events such as the 80’s Nightclub Reunion gigs and has been performing recently at Dicko’s Almost the Greatest Gig on Earth.

Some of the best club and pub music from the eighties, including a mix of 80’s pop, punk, new wave, synth pot, oz rock-pop and disco will be played as well as reggae and funk. MTV clips will also be screened that will have guests reminiscing back to the days of the musical super hits.

Attendees are encouraged to get creative, by dressing up 80’s style. Typical fashion of the era includes over-sized blouses with padded shoulders, stirrup pants and miniskirts, acid wash jeans or even parachute pants in bright colours, big accessories and even bigger rock hair. Poster printing may be used to advertise local events such as this.

Tickets will cost $10 per person online at Oztix or $15 on the door. The evening is presented by E.M.U Unlimited & Thirsty Chiefs Brewing, and will be held at the Brewing Company premises in North Lakes on Saturday 7th December from 6pm.
