Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism is holding a workshop in North Lakes later this month to assist business owners in understanding the importance of becoming a climate conscious business.
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face in the modern age. It threatens our existence, and as a result, sustainability is becoming increasingly more important and relevant. Businesses in particular are expected to accept responsibility in adopting practices that address these issues.
The workshop is called ‘Building a Climate Conscious Business’ and will be presented by Howard Nielsen, a successful sustainability consultant and business manager with over 30 years of experience and knowledge. The topics focus on providing specific ideas to help businesses transition into a more sustainable organisation and how to implement these practices in a realistic way, giving specific tools to measure efficiency.
The event hopes to motivate businesses to understand their responsibility in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants that may be harmful, while simultaneously encouraging them to invest in and implement sustainable practices to create a healthier planet, ultimately benefitting the economy.
Businesses often utilise printing services to create Business Cards to hand out to potential customers and collaborators at events such as this.
The workshop will take place at the North Lakes Hotel on 17th March from 10am–11:30am. Free registration is open online.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
