Renowned local Queensland artist Tricia Reust will present over 60 drawings in an exhibition titled simply ‘Drawings’.
The exhibition will be held at the Old Fire Station Gallery on Oxley Avenue, Redcliffe not far from North Lakes. Artists exhibiting their work at galleries across the country can look to quality local Print shops for promotional materials for their shows.
This latest exhibition of Reust’s is to be a celebration of what the artist describes as one of her favourite art Forms and will show off 30 of her latest pieces, with some of the work dating back to 1971.
Reust’s exhibition will run from February 6 to March 3 and will be accompanied by talks and workshops hosted by the artist. A question and answer session will be held on February 14 and there will be an assortment of one and two day workshops covering basic drawing skills and techniques. Those interested in attending one of the workshops can contact the gallery to register.
Reust is an award winning artist many times over. In 2012, she won The National Mortimer prize for a charcoal and graphite drawing known as ‘Dappled Drowse’.
The exhibition of ‘Drawings’ officially opens February 9 and will have a door prize on offer titled ‘Wet Run’. The prize will be drawn at 3pm.
