Sustainability event to arrive in Randwick

An environmentally friendly event designed to ensure preloved toys get reused is coming to Randwick this springtime.

Randwick Sustainability Hub has announced that it will be working with the Joy of Giving Network this November and hosting one of its successful “Toy Swap” events. Held in partnership with the City Council of Randwick, the swap meeting invites all in the city to bring down their unused toys and Books while connecting with others in the community.

Organisers of community events frequently enlist printing services to produce Flyers detailing times, dates and addresses to help the public attend.

The Joy of Giving Network holds events not just to swap toys but to create opportunities for young people to find out more about the importance of sustainability, and how valuable reusing items is to the environment. Participants will help reduce their environmental footprint and contribute to reducing landfill waste.

Those taking part are encouraged to collect Books, toys and games in good working order that are suitable for others to use. All items for swapping should be undamaged and cleaned for reuse. Each person can bring one large item and a bag of smaller items.

The Toy Swap event is taking place on Saturday, November 9 at the Randwick Sustainability Hub. The event will start at 10 am and ends at 12 pm, and the hub is located at 27 Munda Street in Randwick.
