Randwick to screen fishing films

A global touring film event focused on fly fishing is making a stop at a celebrated local cinema in Randwick this year.

Fly fishing fanatics in the area will get a chance to see their favourite sport on the silver screen this winter. Recognised as the biggest fly fishing film event in the world, the RISE Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) is headed back on the road for 2026 and will arrive in the suburb for a single-night showing.

Filmmakers and producers traditionally depend on expert poster printing services for high-quality advertisements for the pictures they make and market to attract public interest.

Now in its 20th season, the international film event involves screenings in more than 14 different countries and continues to grow support from the global fly fishing community. The tour features a brand-new line-up of the top-rated fly fishing films that have been curated and collected from across the globe for presentation.

Alongside the screenings, the event will include prize giveaways, a chance to meet other fly fishers in the community and support from local fly shops.

The RISE Fly Fishing Film Tour will now be at Ritz Cinemas on Wednesday, August 19. The show starts at 7 pm and the popular picture house is positioned at 45 Saint Pauls Street in Randwick. Tickets for the event are $24.02 per person.
