A touring cinematic experience with a focus on female adventurers is arriving at a popular picture house in Randwick this year.
Cinephiles in Randwick seeking a fresh experience can catch an upcoming event. The “Women’s Adventure Film Tour” (WAFT) is bound for the suburb this spring and promises bold spirits and real stories on the big screen.

Presented by Mountain Designs, the tour is described as “adventure, redefined” and this year it celebrates its 10-year anniversary. The 2026 edition pledges to once more share an assortment of short films showcasing remarkable women set on exploring the natural world they live in.
From remote peaks to local trails, the film shines a spotlight on connections, courage and personal challenges that take the brave beyond their comfort zone. Aimed at viewers of all ages, the collection underlines the adventures of women from a diverse array of backgrounds, sports and cultures.
The films are being screened around the world but have also become an official element of Australia’s annual Women’s Health Week event.
WAFT 2026 will now be shown at Ritz Cinemas on Wednesday, September 2. The venue is at 45 Saint Pauls Street in Randwick and the programme begins at 7 pm. Tickets are available at $17.56.
