Residents from across Randwick were recently being invited to suggest names for the next people to be inducted into the Australian Surfing Walk of Fame.
A new inductee is revealed each year at Maroubra Beach, during the Beach Breaks Carnival.
Printing services could be used to create an information leaflet or Posters, to hand out to festival goers, about the latest surfer to be included in the list.
In previous years, the Walk of Fame has welcomed Nat Young, Midget Farrelly and Karla Gilbert, who have all achieved success in both the Australian and international surfing and surf lifesaving arenas.
The Beach Breaks Carnival takes place each year at Maroubra Beach, which was the first beach in New South Wales to be designated a National Surfing Reserve. The event features market stalls, children’s activities and rides, as well as the chance to get surfboards airbrushed, while keen surfers will be able to get out on the water.
The festival will also be the setting for the final day of the New South Wales lifesaving competition for the Grommets titles. The competition takes place between Friday, July 24th and Sunday, July 26th, and will see young lifesavers compete to be the under-12 and under-14 state champions
This year’s carnival takes place on Sunday, July 26th. Nominations for the Walk of Fame had to have been received by June 22nd.Get a Free Quote for Posters
