Randwick to welcome forestry workshop

An upcoming practical workshop in Randwick will show attendees how to grow a food forest.

Those looking to learn new skills about sustenance will not want to miss an event taking place this April at the Randwick Sustainability Hub. An engaging workshop entitled “An Intro to Food Forestry” is inviting attendees to learn first-hand how to grow food in almost any space and delivering insight in how growing can be accomplished at home.

Those running workshops and other educational opportunities sometimes look to professional brochure printing services to create Booklets and prospectuses explaining subjects that they will cover.

The upcoming workshop will teach attendees permaculture principles, food forest design principles and how to maintain and design a food forest suited to local climates. It will also cover how to plant trees, as well as ways to promote soil health and a healthy eco-system in a home garden.

In association with Randwick Council, the event organisers are now offering a $10 discount for all Randwick residents. To access reduced admission, participants can enter their postcode when booking online and type the code RANDWICK at checkout.

The Intro to Food Forestry event will take place on Sunday, April 2 at the Native Edible Garden in the Randwick Sustainability Hub, which can be found at 27 Munda Street in Randwick. This event will run from 2 pm until 5 pm.
