An informative event designed to increase awareness of the benefits of sustainable sharing is taking place at Randwick this summer.
Green residents of Randwick can participate in an event designed to promote sustainability in the suburb this year. December will see the Randwick Sustainability Hub host a two-hour Preloved Toy Workshop that encourages attendees to learn about the benefits of reusing existing items by swapping them with others, while giving children a chance to play.
Eco-friendly organisations hosting events often use forward-thinking flyer printing services that use recycled paper to create engaging notices that attract public attention.
Each year, over 20 million toys in Australia end up buried in landfills, contributing to global plastic waste. The summer workshop will guide parents and their children on a more sustainable path, encouraging a sense of community toy sharing rather than disposal leading to landfill.
The workshop will examine the lifespan of toys and their impact on the environment. Attendees can bring used toys and help clean and organise those collected before Packaging them ready for reuse. The toy swap will take place at the end of the session.
The Preloved Toy Workshop will now take place on Saturday, December 14 at the Randwick Sustainability Hub. The event will start at 10 am and run until 12 pm, and the centre is sited at 27 Munda Street in Randwick.Get a Free Quote for Packaging
