The Ritz Cinema in Randwick will be screening a series of films as part of the Children’s International Film Festival (CHIFF).
The festival was launched in 2018 and due to its popularity, it will expand to Sydney and Melbourne this year.
The festival will screen 10 animation films and 11 live action features during the festival. CHIFF will also be able to offer Australian premiers of films from Berlin, Toronto and Seattle that are not usually released outside of the countries in which they are produced.
Catering to children aged between 4 and 16, films will include a mix of English speaking, foreign and non-verbal pictures. CHIFF will also be screening some short films from overseas in conjunction with Little Big Shots. Two of those films will include the work of young filmmakers from both New South Wales and Victoria.
CHIFF will also be presenting workshops and will have international guests present at some sessions.
The festival will run from May 24th to June 10th with the films screened at the Ritz Cinema in Randwick during sessions on May 24th, 25th and 26th and June 1st and 2nd. Cinema often use poster printing to advertise upcoming events to generate interest from the local community.
Tickets for the Ritz Cinema program will cost $40 for a family pass or $12.50 per person.
