Randwick area book club to commence

The weekly ESL Book Club will be starting this July.

The event is targeted towards adults who speak English as a second language. At the club, attendees will have the opportunity to talk about Books with similar-minded individuals. Shortened modern Books written by well-known authors will be discussed.

Such a community event can effectively reach its target audience via poster printing, with small Posters placed in libraries, community halls and fitness centres, and large Posters positioned near public transport stops.

Though the book club is free, registration is mandatory and needs to be done online via the Eventbrite website. Another option is to express interest by calling the library during its opening hours. Interested individuals only have to register once for all weekly sessions until the end of December.

Participants should aim to attend most meetings, and Books do not have to be purchased, as they will be provided by the organisers. Once registration is complete, those who have signed up will receive information on how the Books can be collected.

The ESL Book Club will meet on a weekly basis starting Wednesday, 14th July. It will run for an hour from 10am to 11am. The venue for the event is the Lionel Bowen Library, located on 669 to 673 Anzac Parade in Maroubra. The event is supported by Randwick City Council.
