Outdoor kids school comes to Randwick

A renowned Randwick park has been selected for a nature experience designed especially for children throughout the year.

Families in Randwick can now enrol their little ones in a 2025 programme called Bush School Fridays. Aimed at children aged from 2.5 to 5 years old, the ongoing event will take place on Fridays in the suburb up until December at Centennial Park.

The school was created to get kids back to nature so they can experience its many benefits. Children are led by an expert staff of education rangers on an inspirational journey loaded with activities. These include stories, exploration, fun bushcraft and nature play.

Organisers of educational opportunities for children sometimes create engaging coursework materials for participants with help from professional Print shops.

As Bush School is an outdoors programme, it can take place during all types of weather. As a result, parents must dress children appropriately with strong enclosed shoes and a hat, as well as wet weather gear like waterproof jackets and footwear.

Parents can read about Bush School on its dedicated website but can also get involved. Advice and training are available to adults designed to help them mentor and nurture their nature child or children.

Bush School Fridays start at 9.30 am and end at 11.30 am and are held in Ash Paddock at Centennial Park in Randwick.
