New-look news for Randwick

Randwick residents can now find out more about what is happening in their area in glossy colour, with the community newsletter being given a revamp.

Randwick City Council has launched a newly designed magazine called Scene, which marks its first edition this month.

Printing services have been used to create a high-quality colour publication that will be produced every quarter, and replaces the old community newsletter.

It will feature news from the council, such as the new smoking ban on Randwick City beaches and updates on major projects, roadworks, and infrastructure upgrades. It will also highlight some of the best places to visit around the city, and have a comprehensive list of events.

Residents also stand a chance of featuring in the magazine with a special section of photographs from local events appearing in each edition.

The first edition will cover the summer season and features articles on Little Bay Beach and the work at Heffron Park. Readers can also find details of the city’s Christmas celebrations that take place next month.

The magazine will be distributed by the council for free and will be delivered to the area’s 55,000 households by the local walkers. An electronic version can also be found on the council website.
