Date released for wildlife workshop in Randwick

Randwick locals are invited to attend a wildlife workshop scheduled for October.

The event is part of The Saturday Circle, a monthly workshop series focused on regeneration, reuse and renewal.

The workshop will include a free talk by horticulturist and wildlife rescuer Sarah Scott, who will explore brush turkeys, their origins and their mannerisms.

Following the workshop, attendees will participate in a garden working bee, growing and tending to food for wildlife being cared for by organisations like WIRES and Sydney Wildlife.

During the working bee, attendees might water plants, weed, maintain a plot and plant something new. There will also be the opportunity to learn about gardening, local plants and wildlife, and to connect with others in the local area.

Attendees are asked to bring sunscreen, water and a hat, and their own gloves if possible.

Organisers of local environmental workshops can use flyer printing to advertise their event effectively. Colourful and contemporary Flyers are a great way to attract interest and increase attendance.

The Brush Turkeys – Love Them Or Hate Them! Growing Food For Wildlife Project event will be held on Saturday, 11 October. The venue will be the Randwick Sustainability Hub, which can be found at 27 Munda Street, Randwick. The workshop begins at 10:00 AM and finishes at 12:00 PM. Attendance is free, with registration possible through the Humanitix website.
