Canadian band to rock Randwick area
An indie rock group all the way from Canada is set to perform live in Sydney in the new year.
Rock fans from Randwick will soon get a crack at seeing Canadian indie favourites Mother Mother when they arrive in Sydney for a concert this February. The band will be playing the city’s esteemed Roundhouse as part of a new tour of Australia and New Zealand for 2023. Based in British Columbia’s Quadra Island, Mother Mother play their own unique brand of alternative rock. The band features Ryan Guldemond on vocals and guitar, Jasmin Parkin and Molly Guldemond on keyboard and vocals, Ali Siadat playing drums and Mike Young now on bass. After long-time member Jeremy Page left in 2016.
2005 saw the group launch its independently released debut album using the band name “Mother”. The group then changed its moniker to Mother Mother. In 2021, it released “Inside”, its 8th studio album and this year updated the recording with a deluxe version featuring seven brand new songs.
Mother Mother will rock the Roundhouse, based at Anzac Parade in Sydney, on Friday, February 10. The band will be on stage from 8pm until 10pm.
