A comedy play, A Midsummer Night's Dream is estimated to have been penned by Shakespeare somewhere between 1595 and 1596. Set in the Greek city of Athens, it has several subplots revolving around key characters Theseus and Hippolyta getting married. These include a conflict between Athenian lovers, a troupe of amateur actors practicing a play and both groups encountering manipulative fairies who are engulfed in domestic intrigue of their own.
