Shakespearean comedy to come to Newcastle

A popular park in Newcastle will soon present a special production of one of William Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies.

Theatre fans in Newcastle will be able to appreciate an outdoor experience featuring Shakespeare’s beloved play “Twelfth Night”.

Theatre company Whale Chorus is continuing its three-season run of summertime plays from “The Bard”, with the successful “Shakespeare Under the Stars” programme.

Organisers of outdoor theatrical events sometimes work with banner printing services to create durable signage designed specifically with water and wind-proof materials made for use outdoors.

Twelfth Night tells the story of the shipwrecked twins Viola and Sebastian, who believe each other have drowned, only to be reunited in the end after a series of comedic encounters and masquerades.

The play will be performed in late November and into early December at Newcastle’s renowned Pacific Park. The event will see the local greenspace transformed into a live theatre, with a talented cast retelling the Shakespeare comedy with a modern take and musical performances.

Whale Chorus is a professional theatre company that has developed locally and has enjoyed two sold out seasons in Newcastle.

Shakespeare Under the Stars’ Twelfth Night will now be live at Pacific Park from Wednesday, November 27 to Sunday, December 8. The park is sited at 1 Pacific Street in Newcastle, and the show is suited to audiences of all ages.
