A show featuring a live performance of a classic rock opera by a renowned British band will soon be performed in Newcastle.
Music fans from Newcastle who love The Who won’t want to miss an upcoming live show taking place in the suburb in August. For one night only, award-winning band You Am I will be performing the entirety of “Tommy” on stage at the Newcastle Civic Theatre.

ARIA Award-winning musicians, You Am I are and acclaimed Australian rock group. The band have selected to play homage to The Who as one of its greatest influences by playing the legendary album live. The band will also be playing a special set of classic tracks from the Who as part of the show.
The band is led by Tim Rogers; for the show he will be joined by two of the most Accomplished Australian female rock singers, Sarah Mcleod and Hayley Mary. Together, the three vocalists will bring the album to life for audiences.
The August show in Newcastle is part of a nationwide tour for the group, which will begin in July.
You Am I will perform Tommy at the Newcastle Civic Theatre on Wednesday, August 2. The theatre can be found at 375 Hunter Street in Newcastle.
