A respected venue in Newcastle will be playing host to a comedy night that celebrates the cultural diversity of the Australian stand-up scene.
Comedy lovers from Newcastle will want to pencil an upcoming occasion into their diaries taking place in February called “The Multicultural Comedy Gala”. The evening event promises non-stop laughs over an hour and a half, delivered by some of Australia’s acclaimed comedy circuit who come from a diverse array of ethnicities. For a single show only, audiences at the Newcastle Civic Theatre can appreciate a world-class line-up of some of the most acclaimed comedians from around the nation.
The upcoming gala is recommended for audience members aged 15 and older. From clubs and theatres to stadiums and civic centres, venues hosting age-appropriate shows often look to expert printing services to create signage that displays restrictions to those seeking admission.
The show in Newcastle will be hosted by John Safran and will feature an impressive collection of comics including Sri Lanka’s Dilruk Jayasinha who took home the Graham Kennedy New Talent Award in 2018, Ivan Aristeguieta, Fiona O’Loughlin, Tahir, and Steph Tisdell.
The Multicultural Comedy Gala will be performed live at the Newcastle Civic Theatre on Saturday, February 4. The venue can be found at 375 Hunter Street in Newcastle. The comedy show will start at 8pm and end at 9:30pm.
